  • 1994/95 - 2000: Study of History and Social Science at the Rhenish Friedrich-Wilhelm University of Bonn
  • June 2000: First state examination for teaching in secondary schools.
  • Since October 1, 2000: Research Associate, IT specialist and webmaster at the Seminary for Political Science.
  • From March 1, 2011 additionally program coordinator of the Sokrates-Erasmus student exchange program.
  • From June 1, 2001 Researcher.
  • From March 1, 2002 through March 15, 2004, Managing Director, safety officer and representative of the Seminary for Political Science
  • As of March 15, 2004 to retirement from the service of the Institute for Political Science and Sociolage on May 31, 2010, voted representative of the Academic Councils and Researchers to the institute’s management.
  • June 18, 2005, awarded doctorate degree (Dr. phil.) by the Faculty of Philosophy of the Rhenish Friedrich-Wilhelm University of Bonn.
  • As of  March 1, 2009 entrusted with coordinating the master course „German and European Politics“ (up to March 31, 2010), since December 1, 2009 coordinator of the reintroduction of the teaching degree program “Social Sciences” at the Institute for Political Science and Sociology (until May 31, 2010).
  • Since June 1, 2010 Managing Director of the Käte Hamburger Center for Advanced Study in the Humanities "Law as Culture".
  • Since October 2023 Acting Managing Director of the Institute for Political Science and Sociology of the University of Bonn.
